Meet the Team
Our teachers are not just educators — they are accomplished, professional musicians with extensive performing experience. Every member of our team is DBS-checked, safeguarding trained, and passionate about nurturing the next generation.
A performer from an early age, Bertie played the title role in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors at 11 and was understudy for The Magic Flute with English National Opera. He recorded at Angel Studios for Nightwish's album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, which reached No.1 in four countries. He studied on the Leverhulme Scholarship at the Centre for Young Musicians and held a scholarship to the Purcell School, performing with the London Youth Wind Band and London Schools Symphony Orchestra. Currently studying at the Royal College of Music as the Frederick Cox Award holder.
A passionate musician with over 10 years of playing experience, Lucas studied at BIMM London before building a career as a session electric bassist — performing across Europe at iconic venues including O2 Shepherd's Bush, Ronnie Scott's, The Outernet, and Café Berlin in Madrid. He has been teaching bass and music theory for over six years, working with students from ages 6 to 60+. A formative stint teaching ensemble classes in Chile deepened his commitment to music education.
